Before Star Wars: The Clone Wars debuts its seventh and final season, Disney+ releases a helpful guide in terms of the official timeline of the franchise set in the galaxy far, far away.  Since its revival was announced in 2018, fans have been eagerly waiting for its release on Disney’s streaming service. Loyal viewers are especially anticipative of this new outing since the narrative ended on a cliffhanger following its unceremonious cancellation in 2014.

For context, there had been five complete seasons of the Star Wars animated prequel show before it was abruptly ended.  Additional episodes were then released by Lucasfilm known the “Lost Missions.” This made up for a sixth year with The Clone Wars’ seventh and final season picking up after that. However, for those who may be new to the show who are looking to jump in on the series, or even for longtime viewers who aren’t exactly sure how the show’s events fit in the Star Wars timeline, Disney+ has everyone covered.

Taking it to their official Twitter account, Disney+ has come up with an easy guide to the official Star Wars timeline. This way, fans know the official order of events in the franchise since there has been an influx of stories from the space opera in the last few months. For The Clone Wars, its events fall in between Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith, seemingly even with an overlap to both of them. Check it out below:

Aside from pinpointing where The Clone Wars lands on the franchise’s offfocial timeline, the guide also offers fans an overall look at Star Wars’ series of events. This will be especially helpful for people who are new to the franchise and are exploring Disney+ to find content related to the long-running film series. It’s worth noting, however, that there are a couple of films that has yet to arrive in the streaming platform such as Ron Howard’s Solo: A Star Wars Story and J.J. Abrams’ Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker which wrapped up the nine-movie Skywalker Saga last December. All that being said, with the rest of Lucasfilm’s Star Wars catalog, not to mention the arrival of new The Clone Wars season, there won’t be any scarcity when it comes to content for fans.

There’s still no word about what the future lies for the franchise following The Rise of Skywalker. Lucasfilm’s confirmed future projects such as Star Wars: The Clone Wars season 7, The Mandalorian season 2, as well as the Obi-Wan Kenobi and Cassian Andor series thus far are technically prequels. Meanwhile, rumored films are also supposedly set in the past. Regardless of what it’s going to be, fans can expect that Disney+ will play a huge part in telling these new stories.
