Dog the Bounty Hunter’s Duane “Dog” Chapman is hospitalized just two months after his beloved wife - Beth Chaman’s death. It’s been a hard few months for Dog.
Dog is a world-famous bounty hunter who pursues fugitives from his home state in Colorado all the way to Hawaii. Since 2004, Dog, his wife, and sons - Leland Chapman and Duane Lee Chapman - have been tracking down bad guys. His new series, Dog’s Most Wanted for WGN America, has been following Dog as he chases down the harder, more dangerous criminals. The show has also shown the more private side of their life, most importantly Beth’s battle with cancer. It’s been an emotional few months for Dog as his wife and partner in crime, Beth, passed away at the age of 51 on June 26th after fighting a long and painful battle with stage 4 throat cancer. Dog has been mourning the loss of his wife has been clearly shaken up by the changes, as he’s vowed to never marry again.
This past weekend, Dog has suffered a heart emergency, that may require surgery. Sources close to the family told TMZ that Dog was taken to the hospital near where he’s living in Colorado after suffering from chest pain. The doctors have been doing tests and trying to determine if he’s in need of corrective heart surgery. Beth’s passing has seriously affected Dog as he’s had to deal with the stress of losing his partner in crime as well as has been struggling to move on. It’s been an extremely hard few months for the reality TV star, as his Dog the Bounty Hunter merchandise store in Colorado was burglarized, where the thieves reportedly took some personal items that belonged to Beth. Then there was the incident where he was targetted for a half a million-dollar scam.
According to TMZ, sources confirm that Dog suffered a possible heart attack, but doctors are still performing tests to better treat him. A representative for Dog gave an update, saying, “I can confirm Dog is under doctor’s care and is resting comfortably. Thank you for all of your well wishes - keep ’em coming.” Dog has been dealing with the death of Beth, the demanding press tour for his new show Dog’s Most Wanted, trying to clean out Beth’s Hawaiian home to sell, as well as be strong for his two children he shares with Beth.
Dog has been having a hard time coping with the death of his wife, even opened up about how he’s been having dreams of her. His children have also opened up about the difficulty they’ve faced by losing their mother. Fans can only hope that Dog will be on the mend soon, where he can be back to doing what he does best - encouraging good in the world by putting away bad guys on Dog the Bounty Hunter.
