Dog’s Most Wanted’s Duane “Dog” Chapman known for his hit show, Dog the Bounty Hunter, has paid tribute to his late wife of 13 years, Beth Chapman, on her birthday. After nearly six months since her passing, he commemorates her when she would have been turning 52.

Beth passed away at the age of 51, after fighting a long and painful battle with stage 4 throat cancer. She was in and out of the hospital and had undergone aggressive chemotherapy after her cancer returned in November 2018. The couple was set to host a new series, Dog’s Most Wanted for WGN America, in which a portion of the show has featured her cancer struggle. After being hospitalized for difficulty breathing on Saturday, June 22, she was then placed in a medically-induced coma by doctors for her own safety after experiencing severe pain from lack of oxygen. After days in a coma, Beth passed away at 5:32 am on June 26th in Hawaii. Dog has been mourning the loss of his wife and is so clearly shaken up by the changes that he revealed previously that he would never remarry, saying most recently that dating and having a sex life is a thing of the past as well.

On what would have been Beth’s 52nd birthday last Tuesday, October 29th, Dog went to Instagram to repost a video from Dog’s Most Wanted page of Beth doing what she did best, track down the bad guys alongside her husband. He posted the video with the caption from the show’s page reading, “There will never be another like you. Happy birthday Beth!” In the touching montage video, it starts with Dog saying, “This one’s for Beth,” and the video fades into clips of Beth being the baddie that she was confronting criminals face to face - see the post below:

In the video, Beth speaks to the camera about how she will catch bad guys up until her last breath, saying, “If I die, I want to die in my boots.” That is exactly what she did. At the end of the montage, there’s a clip of Dog kissing Beth on the cheek, with Dog’s voiceover saying to Beth, “Listen, I love my job, but I love you more.” That clip wasn’t the only thing Dog posted for his late-wife on her birthday, he also reposted one of Beth’s own Instagram posts, a picture of Beth and Dog embracing, with her caption reading, “Sooooo in love with this guy !”

Dog has been known for his strength, courage, and compassion while confronting some of America’s most dangerous criminals. This year has been one of the hardest years of his life, from losing his beloved wife to facing his own health issues this past fall. Beth was the element of the show that allowed Dog to show his soft side under that hardened bounty huntere exterior. Since her passing, Dog has transfered that honest and softness he had with Beth and transformed in into this new emotional and honest Dog that fans have never seen before. Seeing the transparency of his struggle has made watching him catch criminals that much more interesting.
