How does one watch Doom Patrol and when will the new episodes air? Due to the way that the DC Universe streaming service airs its new programming on a set schedule like a broadcast network rather than releasing whole series at once, there is some confusion about precisely when the new episodes can be viewed. Many fans are also wondering when the new series will be available to international audiences.

Billed as “The World’s Strangest Heroes” when they first appeared in My Greatest Adventure #80 in June 1963, the Doom Patrol were unlike any team of superheroes ever seen. United by Dr. Niles Caulder (whom they nicknamed The Chief), the Doom Patrol was made up of the survivors of various disasters who found themselves cursed with strange powers that made it impossible to live a normal life. Despite this, the Doom Patrol tried to use their abilities to help others in a bid to bring something positive out of their tragedies. Never a huge success for DC Comics, Doom Patrol still developed a cult following and the team was revived several times over the years, with new line-ups of freaky heroes being led into action by the virtually immortal Robotman.

Doom Patrol is scheduled to premiere in the United States on Friday, February 15, 2019. It will be available exclusively through the DC Universe streaming service. The first season will consist of 15 episodes, with new episodes being released on Fridays. The final episode of the first season is scheduled for release on May 25, 2019.

Assuming it follows the same release pattern as DC Universe’s Young Justice: Outsiders animated series, fans can expect to see the new Doom Patrol episodes released at 6 am PST/9 am EST on Fridays. DC Universe is currently only available to subscribers in the United States and some associated territories, though the service is expected to make its way into Canada sometime in 2019. Subscriptions cost $7.99 per month, though there is an annual subscription option that offers a substantial discount at $74.99 per year.

It is unknown exactly when Doom Patrol will be made available outside of the United States. It is suspected, however, that a deal will be made with Netflix to distribute the show internationally once the complete first season has been aired on DC Universe. Netflix brokered a similar deal to distribute Titans - the first original live-action series produced for DC Universe - in late 2018. It is believed that they will continue to do the same for all of DC Universe’s original shows until such time as the DC Universe subscription service is made available globally.
