Google has released the developer builds for the Android 13 update that is coming officially later this year. These developer builds, as the name suggests, are intended for developers so that they can test, debug and improve the user experience of the OS. And OEMs generally also release the developer builds of their Android skins to follow up on their software development.
OnePlus is one of those OEMs that did release a preview build of their Oxygen OS running on the developer build of Android 13. They did it for their flagship offering, the OnePlus 10 Pro. But since it is a developer build, it is packed with bugs. How to Downgrade the OnePlus 10 Pro from Android 13 to Android 12?
The problem with the developer build of Android 13-based OxygenOS has several bugs. Some of the notable ones are:
- Issues with system stability and performance.
- Unable to access Shelf.
- Unable to move the documents in My Files.

Before we get to the actual process, you should know that this process will wipe out your entire internal storage. So before going ahead with the downgrade, create a backup of everything important to you.
Once the backup is secure and your device is charged up correctly, you can go ahead with the steps mentioned below.
European and Indian Variant of OnePlus 10 Pro:
- Firstly, you need to download the firmware for Android 12 as per your geographical region. European variants can use this link to download the firmware. And Indian variants can use this link to download the firmware.
- Move the downloaded firmware file to your device’s internal storage. It should not be inside any folder.
- Now open up Settings on your smartphone.
- Navigate to About device > Version.
- Tap on the Build Number 7 times, enabling the developer mode on your smartphone. You will see a small pop-up on your screen saying you are now a developer.
- Now go back to Settings and then tap on About device.
- Now tap on Up to date.
- You will see a three-dot icon at the top right corner of your screen. Tap on that and then select Local install.
- Now navigate through your internal storage and select the Android 12 firmware file.

- Let the installation complete, and once that is done, your device will restart itself.
- Once the restart is complete, your installation will also be done.
And that’s how you install Android 12 Oxygen OS on your OnePlus 10 Pro(European/ Indian Variant).
Global/NA Variant of OnePlus 10 Pro:
