In a surprising move, Microsoft is rolling the 1.51116.198.0 Surface UEFI Firmware for its tablet Surface 3. The tab is getting this upgrade after a big gap of more than 1 years. Nevertheless, it brings patches for the meltdown and specter security threats. The 1.51116.198.0 Surface UEFI Firmware update is for the tablets running on Windows 10 and Windows 8.1 operating system.

Along with the security patch, the display adapters are also getting the compatibility improvement. The firmware 20.19.15.4835 brings this update.
