Finally, Huawei has started rolling the Android 9.0 Pie update to Huawei Honor Play with EMUI 9.0 beta. The update is currently available to users who have signed up for Huawei Beta Program. The update already started rolling via OTA (Over the air) to users in the beta program. With this update, Huawei brings the new EMUI 9.0 interfaces, new SmartCare AI learning, Password Vault Features, and enhanced GPU turbo version 2.0, Multi-task-switching between each app and October 2018 Security Patch.

EMUI 9.0 Update

With EMUI 9.0 Android Pie Update, your device enables the smart user interaction in which users will experience Artificial intelligence its best. The AI can identify global landmarks and more than 10 million famous artifacts and paintings. Besides that EMUI 9.0 will simplify the device Setting and maintains the consistency between similar functions.

You can’t upgrade the Huawei Honor Play Android 9.0 Pie Update manually using our instructions as there is no possibility to unlock the bootloader. Since May 25, 2018, No More Bootloader Unlocking for Huawei devices.

Huawei Honor Play was launched in India in July 2018. Huawei Honor Play features a 6.3-inches display with a screen resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels. The smartphone is powered by Octa-core (4×2.4 GHz Cortex-A73 & 4×1.8 GHz Cortex-A53) and Hisilicon Kirin 970 processor coupled with 4/6GB of RAM.
